‘I can’t even recognize myself’
Not many people say this to themselves, not everyone is in the state of incongerence. But those who stand in the mirror every day, but see the happenings of their life flash into their eyes, are the people who deeply relate to this sentence.
Your experiences, your lives, your relations in life all work together to give birth to you. We stand tall in the large crowd of people and yet our mind swings in a never ending state of disappointments. What makes us pretend? What drives us to do something that we are never ready to do?
God created man. He created his soul and gave him a “mind” as a gift. This mind is a virtue, also a curse when it gets out of hand. This mind helps us to create an inner world, an ideal self, a place that we want to reach as we progress in life. But what happens when we leave ourselves behind and follow the path that is chosen by the world for us to walk on?
We forget ourselves.
When was the last time we visited our inner world? When was the last time we met our ideal self? Had a deep conversation and made plans to become one?
Creating ideals is never a difficult task. But managing then and renovating them with the passage of time and most importantly, keeping them alive is the task to achieve. If that is difficult then remember the time you promised yourself to be that ideal person you always wanted to be.
It was your first love.
You have to fall in love with yourself to reach up to your own expectations. No, self can never be wrong. Don’t confuse it with selfishness. Rather love yourself, “Treat Yourself”. You have your whole life in your hand. You have the stirring and have the guts to drive up that road. Don’t let your ideals get destroyed and then reconstructed by others.
Love yourself, remember yourself and recognize who you are.
