The Way to Self-Motivation

Ever wondered why we lose our motivation? One of the reasons why is lack of confidence. Lack of confidence is a state where you don’t believe in yourself. It is a state where you don’t believe in your abilities.You feel you cannot succeed. You usually lose confidence when you are too focused on what you want instead of what you have. Focusing only on what you don’t have is a classic way of killing confidence. It amplifies your failures and plays down your successes. You start thinking about why you cannot get what you want and your brain says “because you don’t have what it takes to get there”. Your brain starts telling you that your past break ups were your fault; that you didn’t deserve those relationships. Instead of focusing on your academic achievements, your brain will draw your attention to your unemployment. If only you had focused on what you have instead of what you don’t, you would have realized how capable you are. You would have realized how much control you have over your destiny. A great way to overcome this mindset is gratitude. Being grateful is the answer to many of our problems. Gratitude is the one way you can start focusing on your strengths instead of your weaknesses. Everyone has weaknesses but it’s your strength that makes you unique. The more grateful you are, the more positive you will be. The more positive you are, the more confident you will be in your abilities. It’s weird how focusing on what your mind already knows can motivate you to do even better. Focusing on what you don’t will only make you surrender and give up. When all else fails, self-motivate!
